I have a Data validation thingy that is connected to a list of names. I have a picture assigned to each name.
I've got the Image embedded in the sheet ready for the picture that I choose from the thingy.
Is there a way to make the picture appear just by clicking on a name in the DV thingy?
As you suggest in your thread title, you would need a macro to do this. If you attach a file with your thingy I can be more specific.
The paper clip icon does not work for attachments. Instead, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.
What I want is as soon I click on a name in the drop down box in cells M5, the picture will change to the chosen player. These pictures are in a folder called "photos. Right now, I have to choose the player from the list and then click the macro button that's hovering over the picture.
I want it to be a one step process.
I am unable to test this without having your photo files but I think this does what you want.
