    Question How to create a summary List in Excell

    Hello All,


    I'm a newbee in here and have 2 questions.

    1. I know how I can set out "0" in a document. But due to the formula that I use in this document, I get in certain cells #N/A, and this I don't want to see but don't know how I have to make this notification disapear but still make the document working.


    2. I have a list of materials and want to know how I can create a summary of all boxes of the same size used in this list.

    I want to know how many boxes I have of each type in this project.
    I'm only looking to the different Heights we have of the boxes.
    Because I need this info to calculate the volume for loading a Container or truck.
    For some projects I have sometimes 50> lines which I have to check.

    The purpose is to check if Cel E8 = I8
    If OK than the value of G8 add to J8
    If E8 not equal to I8
    Than check if E8 = I9

    I don't know how to write the formula to get this summary done.

    There is a formula that you can wrap around your existing formula called IFERROR. The syntax is =IFERROR(Excel_Formula, Display_Value).

    For example =IFERROR(A2/B2,0) will be A2/B2 if B2 is not zero, otherwise it will return 0.
    One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

    A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

    Now I can continue with my document untill I encounter a new problem.

    Fluff13, it was your solution I tried out and it is working.

    I was so surprised of the speed of answering!

    I still had my finger on the send button and the answer was already in.

    For me it was a highill problem but now I found the spot where to go with my problems.

    Because I had 2 months ago a basic course Excell and due to this I'm preparing a document to do my job more automatically.

    What I'm looking for is to create a 3D view of loading a container or truck.

    And this part is the 1st step towards this, I hope.

    I have an excell program for this purpose but it is not working completely for the moment.

    It calls CPL-solver.

    Do you have any knowledge about this??
