How do I insert multiple rows?

Right now, when I want to insert, say 15 extra rows, I have to right click the particular row where to insert, then click "Insert" on the drop down menu.
That only creates one row. So I have to do that 15 times!
I just Know there is a more efficient way. But I just very recently opened EXCEl for the very first time. I am a complete new-bee.
    Please help.

Select the row where you want to insert rows. Then hold the Shift key and arrow down to select 15 rows. Now press the Insert key.

Edit: originally wrongly stated "use right arrow down". It should just be "arrow down".

Select the row where you want to insert rows. Then hold the Shift key and right arrow down to select 15 rows. Now press the Insert key.

I apologize in advance for still being confused. Once I pick up on the basic ideas, I will accelerate considerably, (you'll see . . .)
I selected the row where I want to insert.
I held down the Shift key but the minute I "right arrow down" (I assume this means hold down the right mouse button) a drop-down menu pops up.
I tried many variations on what "right arrow down" might mean but the minute I right-click the mouse, it always drops a menu down and aborts my selection.

    OKAY!
I played around a bit more and I got it.
    Thanks

And the beauty of it is that it doesn't matter if there are characters in the selected row, it will insert the number of rows as empty boxes and move the other rows down.
    I love it.

Sorry. That was my error that caused your confusion. It is just arrow down. Not sure where that came from.
