How can I ensure a word fillable forms data when imported as a csv file into excel appears in columns. I first save the word file as a txt.file & select the delimit option under the advanced save options but still. When I select get data as a csv file, it does not appear in columns like it should. What am I doing wrong?
It all depends on how it's formatted in the Word file. What does it look like when you save the Word file as a .txt file? Is it something you can share with us?

That Word file does not have fillable forms. It just has three lines of undelimited text, and so therefore the .txt file has three lines of undelimited text. Is that the way your real Word file gets exported? There is no way to take that text file and import it properly by columns, except possibly by using VBA. I am assuming you want it to look like this in Excel:
There is no way to tell programmatically where the columns should be broken. I could tell only because I understand the meaning of the words.
This has been converted to a fillable form, I am still experiencing the problem of data transferred in rows & not in columns. I am using O365
I am trying to follow the procedure in the linked page but it says
However, this option is in the Advanced tab, not the Save tab.select the Save Data As Delimited Text File check box
When I just save as a .txt file the data is not delimited.
Anyway, it didn't work. The resulting .txt file had no data.
I can help on the Excel side but I don't know how to export a form as a delimited file.
Thanks for trying, i did use the delimited option but it still saved as rows & not as columns, I will trouble shoot further & let you know.
