Seeking for best practices / tips comparing two large data arrays from two different workb

Seeking for best practices / tips comparing two large data arrays from two different workbooks -

Thanks for valuable tips in advance.

I just tried to use my eyes to cross checking two large arrays from different workbooks, then found it it is very eye soring and not so effective and efficient at all, then I created two different pivot tables but still not much of improvments using eyes to check line by line. Next I thought about copying both data arrays into one worksheet and use formula like vlookup to check , but not sure if this is the best approach ....

I am new to data checking, I am humble to seek best suggestions for cross checking large data from two different workbooks, thx

A simple data in one workbook, and i need to check all the numbers are matched in another workbook

Perhaps you could supply some data that shows what you begin with data wise, & then what you are expecting as a result.

You still haven't said/shown what you expect the outcome to be.

Just need to make sure all the numbers are the same for each country wise and level wise between the two workbooks, let me know if this answer your question

You are still being very vague.

What are the name of the workbooks, are they both open, or do they need to be opened?
What are the name of the sheets that are involved?
Do both the sheets contain the same number of rows?
Are the rows of data in both the sheets in the same order? In other words Should row 2 on one sheet match row 2 on the other sheet?
What do you want to happen if there is a mismatch?
Do all columns of data have to match for each row?

Providing more details will possibly yield more responses from the members here.

    Hi there.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 non-editable pictures.

Please read the yellow banner about sample worksheets, at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet complete with an explanation and some expected results.

    Thanks for response.

I have checked google and youtube, and also asked chatgpt. I am definitely not ready for VBA yet, and power query seems requires more steps than the method below.

so what I am doing in steps are:
    1. create two pivot tables from two different workbooks,
    2. sort the rows in both pivot tables
    3. copy both pivot tables into one sheet
    4. use (example) =if(a1=m1, "-","no")

You’ve been asked to provide a sample workbook. Please do so.
