    Question on colored rows

I am building a new Excel file using some data brought over from an existing file.
The existing file has every other row in color, but I don't want the colored rows in the new file.
So far, I have been unable to remove the colors from the rows I copy over to the new file.
I've tried the No Fill setting many times, and it does not change.
I even deleted a colored row, with the intent of manually typing in the data with no color, but when I inserted a new row, the new blank row that it created was in color.
Nothing I have tried has been successful in getting rid of the colored rows.

    Re: Question on colored rows

    Welcome to the forum.

Have you checked conditional formatting rules?

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (yellow banner: HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK). Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

    Re: Question on colored rows

When you copy and paste over to the new file, you should use Paste Special | Values, rather than just Paste, so as not to take any formatting across at the same time. If you are copying across formulae, then you should use Paste Special | Formulas

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Question on colored rows

    Excuse my bad english.
    Just a likely cause!!
You have a Table in your Sheet.
    Try to locate its borders
If you don't find any borders it's the hole sheet.
Mark it and go to Table Design, Convert to Range
Hopefully this is helpfull so can delete row colors
