    just searching a function

    Hey guys...

i'm just putting up a collection of games i have and one of the categories are how many players can enter on each game

    now...
when i'm entering lets say 1-4 in the amount of players column i get the result 04-jan and that's no good..

so what i'm looking for is a function that gives me what i'm typing

this is sagar n hav recently started working on Xcel

    ANSWER

now if u enter number of players as 1-4 in a cell , then right click on that cell.
then select "Format Cells" then go to "Number" and type 1-4 in the "TYPE IN " column

    It really works
    Enjoy working with XL

    Cheers!!!!!!!!!!
