Field , Date range and Sum from worksheet import

I import a large worksheet, I need to sum all the quantities of the "part
number"'s into sequencial weekly buckets. on a seperate report worksheet. Can
I use one formula to indicate the "part number", weekly range and sum? then
autofill for weekly totals? where the import columns are, Part#, ship date,
    Qty?
the report colums are Part#, week1 totals, week2 totals, week3 totals..,

This sounds like a great use for a pivot table. I resisted learning about these for a long time (they are a bit klunky to set up) but I have really learned to appreciate them.

It will create a table, on a separate worksheet if you want, showing subtotals for each unique item/ column that you want.

Do some research (forums, etc) on pivot tables and try creating some in a sample spreadsheet.

Hope I've led you in the right direction.
