Please does anyone know how I can use time worked in hours and minutes to work out wages. ie: 1 hour 54mins worked at a rate of pay of £7.89. some how i cant seem to get the right formula

Please does anyone know how I can use time worked in hours and minutes to work out wages. ie: 1 hour 54mins worked at a rate of pay of £7.89. some how i cant seem to get the right formula
You will need to convert the hours and minutes into hours and parts of an hour. e.g. 1 hour and 30 minutes = 1.5 hours
Therefore, if you have a cell with your total hours:minutes, multiply that cell by 24 and format as General.
1:30*24 = 1.5
then multiply this by your hourly rate.
