How to make a picture appear behind data in a spreadsheet

Is there a way to insert a picture and have the data on the spreadsheet
appear through the picture. I would like to insert a picture of an aerial
picture and use the corresponding cells to display data

RE: How to make a picture appear behind data in a spreadsheet

    Try this:
•From the Drawing Toolbar, create an empty Textbox
•Right click on the Textbox and select Format Textbox
•Select the Colors and Lines tab
•click the Fill Color dropdown and select Fill Effects
    •Click the Picture tab
•Select a picture and click [OK] to return to the Colors and Lines tab
    •Set Transparency to around 75%
    •Click OK

That should create a box with a semi transparent picture that allows cell
contents to be displayed through it.

    Does that help?

    try this, it could work
    format
    sheet
    background
select the file you want as the pic
the only thing is you won't be able to print the back ground

now, if you search the help files you may be able to get a watermark
but I haven't spent any time on this
