changing property of a picture that is already pasted on excel

got a high resolution pic that has been pasted on excel file, anyway to
resize it to lower resolution. my office software is 2000 excel

To simply resize the picture...

Double click the picture >> select the Size tab >> under scale >> insure the "lock aspect ratio" box is checked and update the Height as desired.

To truly lower the resolution...

Double click the picture >> select the picture tab >> press the compress button in the lower left hand >> adjust settings as need and click OK
