formula to copy a hyperlink from one cell to another?

    Hey all,

I have a list on sheet1 with checkboxes in col. A of every row. I'm constructing a second list on sheet2 that is formed from the checked rows on sheet1, in a similar fashion as described here:

    http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...71#post1723971

The basic structure has gone smoothly, thanks to the advice from VBA Noob. But on sheet1, col. H contains hyperlinks to PDF files on my computer. When these cells show up on sheet2, the display text is there, but the hyperlink is gone. Any suggestions on how to retain the hyperlink from sheet1?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    -Joe

Thanks for the quick response, oldchippy. But please let me clarify:

Sheet1 contains a master list of equipment and specs and hyperlinks.
Sheet2 contains a list that will be different every time I utilize this spreadsheet; it's composed of checked rows from Sheet1. So there is never a consistent direct correspondence between say, cell H5 on Sheet1 and cell H5 on Sheet2.

I've already got the hyperlinks (hundreds of them) written into the master list. But when the second list 'creates itself' based on my checkboxes, the hyperlinks are a no go. The text, or friendly name, is still there, but the hyperlinks themselves are absent.

    Hope this helps clarify. Thanks.

Zach post what you have for a full and useable response!

    Copy cell:

this will paste my copied data to cell A1 the fact that it pastes all means that if it was a hyperlink then the hyperlink is pasted too!

    Regards,
    Simon
