How to Delete Drop down menu in Excel 2002?

I just recently did a copy and paste of some row and cells containing a drop down menu in Excel 2002. I have no use for a drop down menu and wanted to know how to delete this. Apparently, the Data> Validation options are "greyed" out. Is there any way I can take the drop down menu off or Delete it?

Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

Perhaps your worksheet has some security applied. Have a look under Tools, Protection. If there is an "Unprotect worksheet" or "Unprotect workbook" option you should be able to click on it to remove the protection.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

    Delete Menu

Why don't you just highlight the cell where the menu is, got to 'Edit' and do a 'Clear' 'All'.
    No more menu.
