I am having problem getting average in this condition
A1 to A20 has serial number, 1 to 20
B1 to B20 has some data
C1 to C20 has some date
D1 To D20 has balance, i.e B1-C1=D1
somewhere I have got SUM of D1 to D20
Now
I want to get average of "Sum", devided by the serial number "till now".
Suppose I have data till serial number 10, how to get average .
what will be the formula.
every time I enter data, the average should be updated according to the serial number.

Lets see If I understand you correctly.
Hypothetical in row 15 you enter your data. Your serial number is 15(?)
You want the sum(B1+B2+..+B15) / serialnumber
if so, in E1 put =SUM($B$1:$B1)/$A1 and fill down.
it wasn't clear which you wanted averaged, B,C or the Balance, but changing the letter in that formula will get you to the right column.
Or I don't understand and you posting some sample data and expected result would help a lot.
