    Exclamation Safety in Cells

Problem 1.I dont want anyone to be able to change for example the cell A1 which contains the function =SUMMA((B16+1,5*Blad1!C15)-Blad1!C15-1). Is there a way to make sure they cant change it?

Problem 2.In some rare cases the cells turn out negative like -1 etc, and IF they do, i want them to show 0 instead of me getting this huge warning-sign telling me what an idiot i am :P Anyone know?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi chojje,

To stop someone changing a cell you need to protect the sheet - all cells are protected by default when you protect the sheet so before doing this you need to select the cells that may be changed, right click >format > protection > remove the check mark against locked.

Then go to tools > protection > protect.

Not quite sure what you mean by the second part but if the problem you want to cure is that if the result of a calculation is negative then

    =If(Your_calc<0,0,Your_calc)

Let me know how you get on

The protection you are talking about concerns me/anyone being able to change for example a number in a certain cell. What i mean is that if a cell INCLUDES a Function (ex: IF(A1<1,1,0)) in anyway i dont want anyone to be able to change it.
    Do u understand?

    The other part worked thanks

If it is protected then it does not matter what the contents are - they are protected.

On the sheet protection menu, you can select what users can do.

Try it out and see if it works
