multple sheet question

Sorry if this sounds silly, but I'm new to excel.

Is it possible to have sheet1 in excel 2003 work as a data entry form, IE:

Date

Deposit
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
Tax

And Sheet2 set up to hold the data per day as a list, IE:

Date|Deposit|Accounts payable|Accounts receivable|Tax

Do you want Sheet 1 to record the different types of column headings which you will use in Sheet 2?

If so, you can type the list of headings in Sheet1, then select the full list of headings and enter a name (eg ValidHeadings, no spaces) for this list in the Name Box (the box where it shows the current cell eg A1 at the top left of the screen usually underneath the font name eg Arial).

On sheet 2, in each cell where you want these headings to be available to choose from a list, click the 'Data' menu, 'Validation...', choose 'List' in the allow field and in the source field type =ValidData (or whatever name you called the data in Sheet1).

Now when you go to sheet 2 and select a cell where your headings are to appear, you'll see an arrow and clicking this will provide you with the valid headings from which to choose.

Actually what I want is for the first page to be a simple data entry form with perhaps an export button macro. It won't store any data at all. Here's what I have for sheet1.

What I want is to be able to export data entered into this form into another worksheet or workbook that fills downword. I'd also like to know if there's a way to have the form on sheet 1 actually load data from the other sheet or book for specific dates.
