    If Statement with Minimum function.

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this.

I have 25 fields in which different values can be put in. Above these fields is some text information.

After these values are put in....I am using a min statement to display the lowest number.

In addition to displaying the lowest number I would like the text that is displayed above these inputted values to display also for the field that is the lowest value.

    How do i do this?

    Something like:

    =Index(A1:X1,Match(Min(A2:X2),A2:X2,0))

Where A1:X1 contains the headings and A2:X2 contains the values where the Min exists.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    thanks works perfectly....

one more question...I would also like to know what to use if I want to compare values within a certain cell range...and if any value is equal to the other...I would like to have it flagged somehow. What can i do?

    Maybe make certain cells flash?

You can use conditional formatting to colour the background of duplicate cells....

select your range and go to Format|Conditional Formatting...

select Formula Is from 1st drop down and enter formula: =Countif($A$1:$A$100,A1)>1

where A1:A100 is your entire range and the A1 after the comma is the top-left most cell in your selection.

Click Format and choose a background colour from the Pattern tab.

    click ok

    click ok to finish.

what if i wanted to make certain cells flash between two different colors?

say for example i have 2 values that end up being the same...i want those to turn red (Which i have done already) and also maybe a number of cells at the top of my sheet to flash between two different colors.

To make cells flash you need VBA.....

Try googling with some keywords like "flashing cells excel vba" to find some ideas....
