enter data into a cell which has already has data

    Hi,

I have a problem, i am trying to create a worksheet to handle my budgets.

I need to know whether is it possible to enter data into a field which has

already got data in it, but all it does is adds what was previously in the field

to what i want to enter in.

Does anyone know whether this can be done.

    Kind Regards

    Hello p8tel180884,

    Welcome to the Forum!

Are you referring to text or numbers in the cell?

You would need to perform Visual Basic to set that up and I'm unsure how to accomplish that. Here is an example of code that takes whatever value you enter into cell A2 and adds it to A1. So A1 is your running total. This might work for you. Right click on the worksheet tab and "View Code" to see how it works.
