    selecting differant time intervals

I want to total time intervals between dates depeding with columns are filled in. My current formula is =$J$3-F6-K6 where J3 is where the current date is entered and F6 is the start date. K6 is the number of lost days deducted from the interval. I want to include J6 in this formula which would be the end date when it is before the current date in J3. Any suggestions?

You'll need to use an IF formula

    Does this work for you?

I don't know as I don't really understand what you are meaning? See example attached - In row 8 I added a 126 days lost number and it works right, the days lost are deducted from the final total in H8 as they should be. In row 7 I added a frozen date, H7 continues to count days, it should be stopped at the frozen date entered in I7, so from E7 to I7 should give the total for H7, the current date entered in G3 would have no bearing on this row.

Based on what you described, I used this formla in column H

which states that if you put a "frozen date" in column I, subtract that from your sen date. Otherwise use your previous formula. Is this what you wanted?
