    ...

I just had a brief look and the problem seams to be with the parenthesis.

    This part looks strange: ...+1>ROWS($C$1:$C$3000)-...
It will return a uncalcuable True/False

    So probably...+1)>(ROWS($C$1:$C$3000)-...

    its coming up with #VALUE!

    ...+1)>(ROWS($C$1:$C$3000)-...

    it didn't like

    ...+1)>(ROWS($C$1:$C$3000))-...

didn't seem to make any difference

wait, it made the first cell display the item in the cell next to it (as it should) the rest of the cells show #N/A

    Error searching

    I would:
    1. reduce the range to 5-10 rows only and see if the same error appear. --> something wrong with the values in the range
    2. if the same error persists, I would mark section of the formula and press the F9 button (that will pre-calculate only that part) and stepwise error search that way.
    3. If the error is still there, attach a small sample file and someone can have a look at it.

thats pretty much what its meant to do

but yea, i found what i was doing wrong, i was entering it into all the cells as an array, turns out you need to enter it into one as an array and fill down ^^
