Hello Kevin,
Have you checked the check box Iterations on the Calculation tab of the Options dialog or set it in code using Application.Iteration = True?
Sincerely,
Leith Ross
I am having the same issue, after lots of time on Google.
I assume you have used some code in ThisWorkbook to tell Excel to enable iteration on the Workbook_Open event, Kevin?
The problem seems to be that Excel detects and alerts for circular references BEFORE starting the VBA script. Thus the error message pops up (annoyingly) before the Workbook_Open event occurs, enabling iteration.
As VBA has not yet started, it doesn't even appear to be possible to automatically cancel the alert box either ... I think, unless anyone can shed some more light on this, that it's just a design flaw in Excel.
