help : extracting data to create a table (employee time sheet)

hi not too sure where to go with what I have done already but maybe a guru can help here!

Ive created a spreadsheet (bit crude so far) but serves its purpose.... The data entry of the employees rota is fine but I have to then make a `hourly cover chart` which gives at a glance how many people are working at half hourly intervals.

Ok you enter the data on the ROTA form in the format of a start and end time...

I wish to get the start and end time and get it added to the data section...which then gives a hourly chart bar graph.

if I manually add a 1 or 0 in the data section this produces the required result.

Is it possible for this to work by me just getting the data from the rota part?

Let me know if anybody could help me out with this.

    Welcome to the forum.

Ive asked a number of people and can get nowhere with this.

I guess I need to ask

How many people are working at 8am.....9am....10am.... all the way from midnight to 24:00 later that day.

Can anybody give a hint how to do this ?

I need to extract the data from the ROTA part and produce a table so that you can identify how many people are working at any specific hour.

    Thanks in advance.

Look at the formulas added at the bottom of the ROTA tab.

    THANKS! SHG

would never of worked that out.... another question if I may.

Ive created the rest of the formulas to create the `rough` hourly chart on the original ROTA form.

I now want to copy that data into the HOURLY CHART form.

Is there a quick way to do this - or do I have to manually put.....

HOURLY CHART cell = appropriate cell on ROTA form cell.

thanks anyways for you previous help.

(the form at work looks somewhat like what I have created ... i.e. time goes horizontal across the page.)
