Buttons Too Small & Too Big

How can I increase the size of the toolbar and buttons in Exel 2003. The default is too small and the "large icons" is way too big. (What are those font sizes, anyway?) Is it even possible to do this type of customization at all or with no VBA experience. Can you tell me where to start to find the solution is too complicated for the forum, I could find no info on the web.
