    Summing Amounts in Data

Hello there, I'm sure this is an easy question to answer, and feel a bit dense for asking it...but here goes:

I have two columns - in one a customerID and in the second a purchase amount.

What's the quickest way to sum a customers total?

    WILLIAMS01 10
    JONES01 10
    WILLIAMS01 15
    ALLEN01 10
    JOHNSON01 10
    ALLEN01 25
    WILLIAMS01 10

So I have a table showing
    WILLIAMS01 35
    JONES01 10
    ALLEN01 35
    JOHNSON01 10

Also, if this could be altered to view the number of transactions - as well the sum - that would also be very useful.

    Cheers

    Ks.
