Ok, all I want is to fill 1000 cells with totals increasing by 100 each time....
so 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 at the way up to 100,000!!!! There must be a way to do this automatically but I can't for the life of me do it!!!!

In A1, A2, A3 enter 100, 200, 300.
select/highlight A1, A2, A3.
in the lower right corner of the selected cells is the "fill handle". Just hover over the fill handle until the cursor changes to a small black cross, then click and drag down as required.

don't know if I'm doing something wrong but that is only copying in 100, 200, 300 etc into all the cells I drag it over....
I want the cells to have from 100 to 100,000 in 100 incriments...
Like I said don't know if I did something wrong

Two questions:
1) Are you holding down the Ctrl key? If so, then don't.
2) Are you dragging down or across? The instruction was to drag down.
If neither of these work, then I can only guess you have a setting in your options that has changed.
