    eliminating commas from spreadsheet

I'm a newbie in populating Excel with imported data, so foregive my dumb question. Using Office 2000 Professional

Problem: I have comma delimited ascii files of price list information that I can convert to good looking Excel spreadsheets, except that each cell (after the first) on each line still displays the delimiting comma.

Question: Short of maually editing each of the thousands of cells, is there any way to rid myself of this troublesome comma?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried Edit|Replace and replace the comma with nothing?
Where there is a will there are many ways.
