How do I phrase this?
I have an important file of multiple worksheets created in 1999 and successfully updated through successive MS operating systems and Excel versions. I currently run a LAN with an XP machine using Excel 2002, and a Vista machine running Excel 2007. I have always used protection with password on this file. I can "unprotect and save" this file in Excel 2002, and when I re-open it, it does not require my password. When I open this same "unprotected" file in Excel 2007, it requires the password. The Excel 2007 toolbar shows it to be unprotected, both for each worksheet and for the workbook.

Can you suggest anything to get rid of the need for the password? (I hope the answer is not in using Visual Basic, as I haven't faced that in over 15 years!):
