    Multiply range by a constant

    Hi,

This may be one of the easiest things in the world to do but I rarely use excel. I need to multiply a very large data set by 120 but cannot seem to find a way to do so other than one cell at a time. Any help would be very much appreciated.

    XL2000/PC:
*Insert a new column adjacent to the numbers to be multiplied
*enter 120 in the first cell of the new row corresponding to your first data value
*double click the square in the lower left hand corner to fill the column with 120's
*select all the cells of the original column to be multiplied, and copy
    * select the first 120 multiplier cell, select paste special - multiply
