    CountIF function with mulitple condition

    Hello

I have a situation where i need to count the numbers based on two columns. I will create an example here:

    Column A: A1=K, A2=H, A3=K, A4=K, A5=H
    Column B: B1=12, B2=16, B3=19, B4=20, B5=14
    Column C: C1=YES, C2=NO, C3=NO, C4=YES, C5=YES

I need formula for a countif A1:A5=H AND C1:C5=YES. The answer would be 1 because its only one field with such situation which is A5:C5

    Help much appreciated!!

Re: CountIF function with mulitple condition

    Try:

    =Sumproduct(--(A1:A5="H"),--(C1:C5="YES"))
Where there is a will there are many ways.

It is preferred that you ask your questions directly in the forum so that others may benefit and if I am not available you would get an answer from the many other able members here.

You can however add me as a Friend through your control panel...
