Exclamation Adding multiple costs to a product price!

Hi, everyone i am new here as i thought it would be my last resort to finding a solution to my problem. I have searched online and been through forums offering help but i can only get parts of certain things!

Anyways here is what i am needing to do. I have 209 items at cost price, now i need to add the delivery fee onto that, plus 10% (profit) and then to add 14% VAT on to the final price and that would give me the total including VAT!

The items are in ZAR as i am from South Africa and the TAX/VAT is 14%.

The only thing i am able to do is add the delivery fee on...lol. I need to find out how on earth you use the sum thing and what i need to do after that! If someone can assist me or even point me to information or a guide that would be greatly appreciated as i am always keen to learn by doing

A sample workbook would probably help as it is all a little vague.

If we say your cost prices are in A1:A209, your delivery fee is say 2.5% of cost price (it could be a flat number?) then to get the final sale price in B1:B209

    B1: =(((A1*1.025)*1.1)*1.14)

    Thanks for the response DonkeyOte,

Okay i will try elaborate a little more!

Cost price would be in column A1 (R300.00), B1 (delivery fee) R65, C1 (10% Profit added), D1 (14% VAT added). E1 would be the final price with all those added on.

I want to be able to add the entire 209 items price together at once or else i have to do each one manually with a calculator.

I attached a example for you!

Still not entirely sure I follow... if you're saying you want to do one calculation for all products simultaneously to determine the total sales price for all items then:

    E1: =SUMPRODUCT((($A$2:$A$19+$B$1)*(1+$C$1))*(1+$D$1))

where B1 as you state is the delivery price and A2:A19 hold cost prices, C1 profit %, D1 VAT %

(per your file format you need to ensure E1 is set to General before entering the formula, or if entered already set format of E1 to General, hit F2 and Enter to re-enter the formula)

Yeah it would be one calculation for all the costs per line!

This may be a silly question but were would i apply that sum you did, would that be in the last column where i would want the total price worked out in the cell?

Yes, see the narrative in which I outlined what was expected in each of the cells referenced.
