    Date to turn red if within the year

    Hi folks

    I am trying to come up with formula that would make all Hire Date turn red if within a year. Ideally if within the year, I'd like that cell font to turn red (so I know there is conditional formatting there)

    Thanks

    Select the range of cells to affect and go to Format |Conditional Formatting

    Apply:

    Formula Is >> =YEAR(A1)=YEAR(TODAY())

    where A1 is top most cell in your selection.

    this highlights if year is the same

    If you want within 365 days...

    =AND(A1>TODAY(),A1<=TODAY()+365)
    Where there is a will there are many ways.
