Unwanted auto-fill

Hi all,

I have a text cell that accepts a manually entry, which is just “2009/2010” denoting a season.

I have a number (general) cell which is also manual entry, this merely accepts numbers 4-20.

A minor annoyance I'm having is... whenever I start entering 20 into the number cell, it auto fills with 2009/2010 and I have to delete the extra/unwanted numbers.

I haven't (to the best of my knowledge) done anything to create an auto-fill and I can't find out why it happens. Any thoughts on why/how to prevent it please.

Look in Tools/Options/Edit and de-select Enable Autocomplete for cell values

For curiousity, is this a global setting, if so is there a selective option?

As a general rule, the option is enabled or disabled at the user level for the machine. It only effects the user account that enebled/disabled it and only on the machine you were logged into.

There are some circumstances where this may have a wider effect, such as enabling/disabling it while logged into a Citrix session or with certain network roaming profiles.
