Can you have "enter" return the cursor to the top of the next column in Excel 2007?

I am trying to make a data spreadsheet that requires a lot of tickets to be entered into it. I am wondering if there is a way to have the cursor return to the top of the next column in the table automatically by pressing enter. I can't see there not being a way to do this, but I've scoured the spreadsheet help files and either don't ask the question correctly or am looking in the wrong place.

I feel like I'm not exactly being clear enough. When you're entering data, you start at let's say A3 and fill data to A8. At A8, I want to press enter and have the data entry box shift over one column and go back up to B3. Hopefully this makes more sense. There could be multiple days needing entered, so you'll need to have the ability for it to be copied and pasted to another table.

    Thanks in advance.

Hopefully this hasn't been discussed before, I tried a search, but I don't know if I'm asking the right question to find my answer (you know, like the right question to 42).

If your data is in a table format, you can use the form command to enter the data easily. I use it regularly. See the link below for more information.

    hi,

    Welcome to the Forum
    This may help...

Press [alt + T + O], Advanced, set the Editing Option of "after pressing enter, move the selection" to say Down in the dropdown. [Ok] out of there.
Select the entire range where you want to enter data eg A3:C8. Type the ticket into A3, press [enter] (without deselecting the entire range) & each [enter] should move the selection down, until A8, & then it will go up to B3.

Another way would be to select the rows and columns you will be entering the data into. Once they are all hightlighted start entering data. Each time you hit enter it will move down one row until the end of the selected range is filled then hitting enter will advance to the first row in the next coloumn.
