Automatically generate DV list of consecutive numbers

Hi,

I've been looking for a quick solution to what I thought would be a simple data validation problem.

I need to create data validation lists on the fly depending on yes/no answer and a first input number.

First the user answers yes or no:
Q1: Do you have any kids?
A1: yes/no

Q2: How many kids do you have ?
A2: Just an integer data validation. However I would like to automatically insert the zero if the answer above was no

Q3: How many kids live at home with you?
A3: Here I would like a data validation list created on the fly which would have just the consecutive numbers (1, 2, 3, ...etc up till the maximum possible, i.e., the actual number of kids entered in A2). Of course, if the answer to Q1 was no, I still need a zero here

It looks simple, yet I have been searching some websites for a while and can't find an answer anywhere...
