Using one set of Drop downs to limit another

Hi, I have seen variations of this question posted a few times on here, but nothing that can exactly help me with what I am looking to do.

Put simply, my company has various patterns at various price ranges. I would like to have it set up wherein if Pattern "a" is selected, price range "b" is pulled up automatically. There would but numerous patterns referencing each price range.

Is this something that Excel is capable of doing?

I have attached a simple worksheet.

I appreciate any and all help!

Your sample sheet does not demonstrate your need. We already know how to do basic Data Validation lists.

What you're looking to create are called Dependent Drop Down lists and they use named ranges and INDIRECT() references for Data Validation lists in the proceeding drop boxes.

Here's a sample sheet I've posted showing how it's done. The sheet "CHOICES" has the dependent drop lists (and shows one of the dangers of using them) and the sheet "LISTS" shows the lists and named ranges in use.

    Have a look.

Sample FilesThe files you want are:
    --DependentLists3.xls - 3 levels
    --DependentLists2.xls - 2 levels
--DependentLists-SelfSorting.xls - Self-Sorting lists of fruits by color choices
