    Error with Match function

    Hi All,

    I am facing an error with Match function. The answer returned is incorrect.
    Can someone help.

    Hi Josh,

    You are missing the third parameter of exact match. Try
    =MATCH(A2,F1:H1,0)
    Give that a try.

    You forgot the match type parameter, zero (exact match)

    I have a time versus temperature plot. It is (ramp/hold) 3x, but there can be a large dip in the temperature between the 2nd hold and the 3rd ramp.

    When this occurs, the Excel match will miss the 1st match data, and focus on from after the sharp rise.

    Why is match finding the wrong value on the 3rd tab of the attached file?
