Question self delete workbook after expiry.

I have developed software in excel for design of pressure vessels as per ASME Standards. I want to put it in a site and enable who ever want to down load for testing. However i want to incorporate into my software a code by which the software deletes itself one month after a preset date.

Can any body help me in developing the code in excel for the workbook to delete itself one month after a preset date inside the workbook. I no not want to develop a macro to do the same. Iam interested in developing the same thorugh an excel function / formula inside the workbook.

    regards

There's no way that you can delete a workbook with a Function
    Hope that helps.

    D.S.Rama rao,
Are these welding procedures by chance?
You can make a cell with the WPS# or WPQR# or whatever turn yellow on a certain date to let you know it is about to expire, or turn red after it expires or perhaps you can have conditional formating in the cell so the text replaces the WPS# with "EXPIRED".

I also do this with my Welder's Continuity Log, so it flags me when their Welder's Certification is about to elapse. I use Conditional formatting to turn the fonts colors as they are about to expire or have expired.

I think the OP is asking to protect the worksheet by allowing it to delete its self for distributuon !

It should be noted that Excel sheets cant be made secure! And also self deleting software is a legal minefield!

Take a look at LockXLS, it works fairly well and allows expiry dates!
