Array from array without vba

Hi,

I couldn't find an aswer using search tool so here's my problem:

I have to obtain an array from another array. Input array is shown as attachement.
I'm interested in otaining each unique string and its number of occurrences as a new array.
I can do this throughtout advanced filter and some applied functions on a day-by-day manual sorting.
But I need a dynamic type of sorting for an array (Mon to Fri) and (A2 to a24) with previously unknown data input.
The easiest way would be VBA I think, but since I'm not familiar with it, I was hoping if you might give me a hint on which regular function I should use.
