    Versions of Excel

When I save my worksheet I am asked "Save as type" - Can anyone tell me which is the earlier version - Excel worksheet or Excel 98-2003 Workbook, as I am getting a note saying there are compatability issues and the file is saved as in compatability mode so I have started saving in Excel Workbook - is this correct?

    Re: Versions of Excel

98-2003 is earlier. Excel workbook is 2007/2010. The compatibility issue comes in from the workbook having features that are not part of Excel 2003 or before. If you save it as this type of file, it will save everything properly, but if you open it in Excel 2003 or before, some of the formulas may not work and some formatting may be off, among other potential changes.

If you are using Excel 2007 or above then change your Profile
    Hope that helps.
