Insert rows based on cell value

I hope someone can help me with this. I've seen other threads on this topic but none that seem to suit my particular problem and I don't know enough about VB to amend the suggested codes.

I have series of numbers in col C separated by two blank rows. For example, C2 to C4 might have the numbers 1 to 3, while C7 to C11 might have the numbers 1 to 5, and so on. I need a macro that will insert blank rows so that each series has a total of 7 rows. So, for the first series I need to insert 4 blank rows and for the second I need to insert 2 blank rows. I do not need to insert any values in col C in the inserted rows - I just need the rows to come in sets of nine, ie 7 plus the existing 2 blank rows.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi Bob

Many thanks for the quick reply. After a minor adjustment to my data it worked perfectly. Thanks again.

Looks incredibly easy, but you need a better table or screen shot
    a) so we can see where those cells are
    b) Preferrably a screen shot we can copy, ( so not an image ) - see for example the link in my signature
