    Angry Vlookup error

    Hi

I have attached a sheet where I have a Look up table and I want to get the value of each entry I put in Col E using the Vlookup function. But I am receiving an error #N/A. Can anybody please find out what is the actual problem.

    Thanks for any help
    Pal

    Re: Vlookup error

The City region has to be listed first..

Vlookup looks for the value in the leftmost column of a table.

i swapped the region and city columns to put the city first and used the following code.

    =VLOOKUP(D2,A:B,2,0)

    Hi,
    Post solved but variant
Please find attached 2 versions without changing anything in your data :
    - formula index combine with match
    - pivot table (avoid duplication)
    Best regards

Oh that may actually work better for him if he can't move it. Nice job!
