Help with procent count in a survey

    Hello!

I am using Excel 2010 right now, and I need help with counting procent in a survey,

We have done 150 interviews and I am now working on summary it on excel. The problem is I forgot how the code works to make it count in procent.

I give an exemple how it is:

    1. Do you like Ice Cream?

    A.Yes
    B. No
    C. No comment

Let's say we got 124 A, 20 B and 6 C. Now how do I make excel count this in procent?

    Ηι

Assuming your values are in cells A2 - B2 - C2, THEN in A3, use percent style(%) and put the formula.

    =SUM(A2/($A$2+$B$2+$C$2))

    Drag to B3 & C3

    Hope to helps you
    Regards

Perhaps =A2/sum($A$2:C$2) ( replace SUM with SUMMA if you have the Swedish version)

Re: Help with procent count in a survey

If you want to % for yes, the generic method is,

    Total_Count_Of_Yes/Total_Questions

If you can attach a dummy file, it would help to see your data layout.

Re: Help with procent count in a survey

    Hi Hanzar,

I would suggest you to use number rather then text for answers e.g., may be 1 for Yes, 0 for No etc. and off course this can be initiated while collecting survey responses.
Also, if possible share the sample sheet with forum.
