    how to lock columns while sorting

    hello all,

    i got a huge file with 15 colums and i do lot of sorting but i need to have column A and B locked together so that if i sort data values in A and B goes together and will not change. thanks for any help !

    The only way would be to have an empty column between these columns & the reat of the data

    but in this case data before the blank column will not be sorted. I need to lock cells in B in same place adjacent to A, when data in A is sorted celss in be will follow in same rows as in A

    oprn excel file in google docs and try "freeze panes" option there... it may help

    so now i wonder is it now posible to lock two adjacent cells in msexcel ?
