    Pivot Chart Time Format

I am relatively new at Excel, and having problems with formatting a Pivot Chart.
I'm trying to display call volume throughout a 24 hour period with the number of calls on the Y axis, and half hour intervals on the X axis.

The pivot chart only displays the times of when calls occured and I'd like it to display every half hour interval throughout a 24 hour day (48 total time intervals) even if there were zero calls for any given interval.

This is what I'm working with.

    Thanks a ton!

Right click on the chart and click Select Data, Hidden and Empty Cells.
Click the option for Show Empty Cells As Zero. You may also want to tick the box to display hidden cells.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

    Thanks for the response!

I clicked on the option to "Show empty cells as Zero", but unfortunately my graph did not change. Also, what do you mean by "tick the box"?

    Hi,

    This might help. http://www.howtoexcelatexcel.com/exc...a-pivot-table/
If it doesn't then I think it might be due to your raw data. Attach some sample data if you need further help

    Re: Pivot Chart Time Format

I see this thread stopped being responded to but I'm actually looking to do the exact same thing.

I'm working with military time in the hh:mm format. Below would be an example of volume after midnight:

    00:00
    00:02
    00:02
    00:03
    00:03
    00:03
    00:03
    00:04
    00:04
    00:04
    00:06
    00:06
    00:06
    00:07
    00:08

Right now I actually already have a separate tab for each day of the week, Mon-Sun. I'd essentially like to determine frequency of volume by half hour. So with that in mind, if the above times were all that occurred between 00:00 and 00:30 then I'd be looking for some way to output the value of 15. Any thoughts for doing this with a much larger segment of data for the whole 24hr period?
