Question Unable to view my excel workbook

    Hi All,

I wonder if anyone can provide solution to this problem i have with my excel spreadsheet. I have this workbook that i've already populated with data and it contains formula and so on.

Recently, when i opened the workbook, i only got a greyed out spreadsheet. I am able to see the content of each cell in the title bar and name box, but not the whole spreadsheet.

    Can you please help?

Can you upload the workbook? I realise this may be a problem if the data is sensitive but it's difficult to suggest anything without seeing it.

    Is it just this workbook?

Unfortunately, for data protection purpose, i'm unable to send the spreadsheet. However, i've attached a screenshot of it.

    Thanks

Re: Unable to view my excel workbook

At a guess, I would think that you, or someone else, has inadvertently hidden all the rows/columns. But the row and column headers have also been hidden, amongst other things.

Try pressing F5 and, in the Go to box, type: A1:IV65536 and press enter.
Then select Format | Rows | Unhide
And select Format | Columns | Unhide

After that, choose Tools | Options ... and make sure you have ticks against Show | Formula bar, Status bar and, possibly, Windows in Taskbar.

And tick: Formulas, Gridlines, Rows & column headers, Outline symbols, Zero values, Horizontal scroll bar, Vertical scroll bar and Sheet tabs ... everything except Page breaks.

Hard to think that was done inadvertently ...

Good luck with this ... hard to be sure without seeing the workbook.

    Regards, TMS
