    Wink help with edate formating :-)

    Hello all, I have an name in a1, a date in a2 and a number in a3. ( Tom 03-17-11 1 ) . I would like the a3 cell to go a 1- , that is drop off one year after the date in a2. I have used =edate(a2,12) in cell b2. Can I turn the 1 that is in a3 into a 1- when b2 get to 03-17-12.
    PS. This is my first post. I have seen some great thing in this forum and look forward to learning alot and even helping when I can :-)

    Hi MrKipline,

    Welcome to the forum.
    You can use below formula in B2:-
    =IF(B2=DATE(2012,3,17),-1,1)

    Thanks for the help. I got an error with this formula, however it did get me on the right track.
    B2 cell is =edate(a2,12) C2 cell is =if (TODAY()>B2),-1,0. I will end up with two rows however it should serve my needs.

    Thanks again. Can I send you the finished setup? There may be an easier way then what I came up with.

    If you don't want the extra column then combine your B2 and C2 formulae:

    In B2: =IF(TODAY()>EDATE(A2,12),-1,0)
