Conditional Formatting (Adding text and cell formatting)

    Hello,

I've looked through a few threads, but have been unable to make this one work for me.

As per the attached spreadsheet - I am looking to format my cell with the words 'Skip', along with a pattern background if a dropdown box value of 'yes' is selected. I've been trying to use the formula:

But had no luck. Could you please help.

Re: Conditional Formatting (Adding text and cell formatting)

    Hi Dili.

Thanks for your assistance, however I don't want the 'SKIP' text to be in a formula linked to the cell where people can see it. This is because I want people to type in the cell if the conditional formatting is not triggered.

Therefore I would like the 'SKIP' text activated by the conditional formating (and therefore I would like to place the forumula in the conditional formatting section). Is this possible?

    Hi Fred,

As the feature name suggest, conditional formatting is just for formatting and it can not output any text.. thanks.
