Creating a line and bar graph?

Is there a way to create a single graph, that has both bar graph and a line graph data/representation in?

Create a column chart with 2 data series in it select the series you want to be a line and change the chart type. You can do this via the right click menu or on the design tab in the ribbon.

If you meant horizontal bar rather than column then change the chart type to xy-scatter in order to have a line which runs vertically.
