How to pull value from a table with various columns and vlookup doesn't work for this..

Hello, I am a relatively new excel user and I would be very grateful for some help with this issue. Possibly very simple for expert excel users.
    My data is attached.

What I need is for where MM & 1.5 meet, the value that returns from the formula would be 1.25.
I am using a drop down list for the column (Type) and row (Time)... So I would like the corresponding value where these two meet to be pulled into another column.
I have tried vlookup and it returns the value in the first column which doesn't work as I need it to search through the whole table and return the correct corresponding value. Please help in simple language.
    Hope this makes sense?
    Thanks

Assuming your drop down criteria are in A14 and B14 use this:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

You can still use VLOOKUP() but you have to make the column reference variable:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

change the "MM" and 1.5 to cell references holding those values
