    Multiple entries

Hi - I have a spreadsheet that contains mutliple entries that is giving me an issue when I'm trying to use a vlookup. Can I combine these entries at all? In the spreadsheet I could have up to 5 entries that are exactly the same and I only want the one. Using Excel 2003

    Hi

    Which one do you need?

Can you upload a small sample workbook?

    Re: Multiple entries

why would vlookup fail,if they are all the same it will only pick the first one anyway, also does each place have only one id?
either way you can count then filter and delete all those that have duplicates like this.

or you could use advanced filter to get an unique list
select columns a:b then data/filter/advanced filter
    select copy to another location
the list range should already be filled in
    leave criteria field blank
    select unique values only
in the copy to field select say j1
    click ok
